Lafayette Science Museum Opens Discover Store

Lafayette Science Museum has partnered with Big Boy Toys and Hobbies to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Discover Store on
Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Discover Store is located at 433 Jefferson Street in the lobby of Lafayette Science Museum and offers fun, educational science toys and gifts in Downtown Lafayette.

At the Discover Store Grand Opening, shoppers will be able to register to win prizes and take advantage of special discounts. There will be free activities for kids and free goodie bags for early shoppers.

“For the first time in almost a decade, Lafayette Science Museum has reintroduced a store right in our lobby with products, games and souvenirs each chosen for their ties to museum exhibits and programs,” said LSM Director Kevin Krantz. “We are ecstatic to welcome museum visitors, tourists and downtown shoppers to this new retail space.”  “The Discover Store represents an exciting new opportunity to share our love of science, education and fun with museum visitors and downtown shoppers,” said Melissa Truxillo of Big Boy Toys and Hobbies. “Our passion is helping families, hobbyists and science enthusiasts discover the joy that science, DIY and hobby projects can provide. We look forward to offering unique and exciting products and top-notch customer service right here in Downtown.”
