Charles “Peanut” Tillman Voted into LA Sports Hall of Fame

Charles Tillman has been voted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

“Peanut” Tillman was a Ragin’ Cajun from 1999-2002, starting at cornerback for all 4-years.  Tillman’s college jersey was retired in 2014.  He was drafted into the NFL in the 2nd round by the Chicago Bears, where he spent 12-years of his professional career, making the Pro Bowl twice and becoming the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2013.


Tillman was known for his great cover skills as well as the “Peanut Punch,” where he would punch at the football causing fumbles.  He retired from the NFL in 2016 and later joined the FBI.
