Local Artist, Paul Schexnayder to Paint Mural on Old New Iberia Gas Station

The former “Super Shell” gas station on the corner of South Lewis and Main is the entrance to New Iberia’s historical district, but many now call the abandoned building “the eyesore.”  Josh Pellerin, along with his wife and local artist Paul Schexnayder set out on a project to improve the overall image of the building.

Pellerin says they have obtained the owner’s approval and help from the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce.  Paul Schexnayder and Tiffani LeBlanc Pellerin are working on sketches for a mural and a GoFundMe fundraiser will be set up to assist the project in the future.
