You may remember a viral story a few weeks ago about an airplane passenger that reclined her seat and the guy behind her began hitting it. Well, here’s the latest reclined airplane seat controversy…
“Hard Factor Pat” apparently writes for Barstool Sports and claims his laptop was ruined when a passenger in front of him fully reclined his seat.
“There was a time when I had a working laptop, but that was a long time ago, before the selfish bastard in 13A decided to fully recline his seat and castrate my livelihood.”
“YOU NEVER FULLY RECLINE. It’s rude and a sign of sociopathy” – Hard Factor Pat
@Delta small note for the suggestion box, maybe have a little warning sign or someway to prevent my laptop from being destroyed when the person in front of me reclines their seat. pic.twitter.com/QHmphXiDhH

He says a flight attendant came over and took the side of the guy in front of him who reclined. And when Pat emailed Delta, they sent him back an email apologizing but also said, quote, “Personal property damaged in-flight as a result of a passenger action is not reimbursable.”
They gave him 7,500 frequent flyer miles instead. (For what it’s worth, buying 7,500 Delta miles costs around $250 . . . a new 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,400.)
