Camille Schrier will be the first Miss America to reign for two years as the 2020 Miss America Pageant has been postponed due to COVID-19.
The current Miss America, Camille Schrier, will become the first woman to serve two years. She said, quote,
“I realized now that I’m probably going to be a ‘Jeopardy!’ question. It’s definitely incredible. As someone who’s a non-traditional competitor in the Miss America organization, it’s kind of on-brand for me to do it this way.”
Schrier made history when she performed the first-ever science demonstration in the talent portion of the competition. She was crowned back in December and she’ll now continue her reign until December of 2021 when a new Miss America is crowned.
Camille said she’s been promoting drug safety and abuse prevention while championing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education.
