K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen announced that it will close permanently due to the repeated closings caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
In a statement released by the iconic New Orleans restaurant, the management team of K-Paul’s regretfully announced the permanent closure of the restaurant. K-Paul’s Louisiana Kitchen was established in 1979 by Chef Paul Prudhomme and his wife Kay Hinrichs Prudhomme. The restaurant soon gained significant notoriety before Chef Paul’s passing in 2015.
“We have been blessed and honored to serve our customers who have become family through shared stories, breaking bread with jalapeno cheddar yeast rolls and raised martini glasses,” said Kay Prudhomme. “We will also treasure the memories of all of our amazing staff members over the years, knowing that they will carry a piece of K-Paul’s with them for the rest of their careers.”
The restaurant had been closed since May due to the coronavirus outbreak.
