Ford Recalls Over 700K Vehicles for Faulty Backup Cameras

Ford has issued a recall for over 700,000 vehicles due to backup cameras that can show distorted images or suddenly go dark.

The recall covers most 2020 versions of Ford’s F-Series trucks as well as the 2020 Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Expedition, Escape, Ranger, and Edge.  Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair are also included.

The problem is due to a poor electrical connection.  The company says it has not received any information on crashes or injuries caused by the problem.  Dealers will replace the cameras at no cost.
