According to the SC Education Lottery, more than 11,000 tickets had the winning combination in Saturday’s Pick 3 drawing.
The game, which is held every evening, also has midday drawings Monday through Saturday and players have the option to play a straight ticket to match numbers in the exact order drawn or to play a box tickets to match numbers drawn in any order. Tickets only cost .50c or $1.00 depending on the choice of play and each winning ticket is $250 or $500 depending on the price.
11,453 tickets had the winning combination of 3-3-3 on Saturday, meaning the SC Education Lottery will be paying out around $2.8 million.
This is not the first time the combination of 3-3-3 has come up. In fact, it’s happened 12 times before with the most recent occurring in May 2019 with 11,889 winning tickets.
