Sunday afternoon’s NFL Playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears will air on both CBS and Nickelodeon.
In an effort to widen its audience, the NFL is offering a kid-friendly version of a Wild Card Weekend playoff game on Nickelodeon. The kid’s network, known for googly eyes and slime, will simulcast the game live with CBS, but offer a unique virtual presentation with kid-focused effects.
“Our game plan is to make sure the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon definitely lives up to its name by infusing the telecast with Nick’s sensibility of surprise and fun at almost every turn,” said Brian Robbins, President of ViacomCBS Kids & Family Entertainment. “We’re incredibly proud to team up with CBS Sports and the NFL to elevate the thrill of this game for kids and families to enjoy together.”
SpongeBob, Slime, and Googly Eyes, @NFLonCBS and @Nickelodeon will present the NFL like you’ve NEVER seen it before on Wild Card Weekend.

The game selected for the broadcast will be Bears @ Saints Sunday, January 10 at 4:30 p.m. ET. NFLNickPlay.com has been created ahead of the game in an effort to educate kids on the basics of football and entertain them with quizzes, polls, and fun facts.
