Late-Night Shows to Shut Down Immediately for Writers’ Strike

Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver are all facing potential disruption due to a writers’ strike.

Hosts such as Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel have had to adjust their lineups for the week, while Pete Davidson’s return to Saturday Night Live is in question.

The Writers’ Guild says it is fighting for minimums for writers on streaming shows, and showrunners are trying to find a balance between supporting the writers and keeping the rest of the staff employed.
