Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White” has been met with criticism for its “politically correct” reimagining of the seven dwarfs as “magical creatures” of all sizes and genders. The film, which stars Hispanic actress Rachel Zegler as Snow White, has also removed the traditional Prince Charming character and focuses more on Snow White’s leadership dreams. Actor Peter Dinklage, who has dwarfism, has criticized the film for its portrayal of disability. Disney has responded by saying it is taking a “different approach” to “avoid reinforcing stereotypes” from the original film.
