Tyler Perry is helping 93-year-old Josephine Wright stay in her home in Hilton Head, South Carolina, despite developers trying to force her out. Wright has lived in the house for over three decades and it has been in her family since the end of the Civil War. Perry posted a video of Wright telling a local TV news team about her plight on his Instagram page and pledged to help her fight. He has also previously pledged $750,000 to keep low-income senior citizens in Atlanta from being displaced from their homes. The Jonesville Preservation Society is also helping Wright, garnering support from neighbors and local officers to stop the developers.
