On Monday, the City of Natchez, also known as the Biscuit Capital of the World, was temporarily renamed IHOP City, USA to celebrate the launch of IHOP’s new biscuit menu. IHOP chose Natchez to honor the city’s famous biscuit recipe created by Regina Charboneau. An IHOP food truck was parked on the bluff on Broadway and served four new biscuit options, including a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and a fresh strawberries and cream biscuit. Natchez Mayor Dan Gibson and Charboneau were on hand to celebrate the launch, and IHOP franchise owners Brandon and Shelly Collins made a $15,000 donation to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society.
