Charles Osgood, the longtime host of “CBS Sunday Morning” and a five-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, has died at the age of 91. Osgood, who was known for his folksy erudition and bow-tied style, hosted the television program for more than two decades and also hosted the radio program “The Osgood File.” He was considered CBS News’ poet-in-residence and was known for his ability to write essays and light verse. Osgood died at his home in New Jersey from dementia.
