DreamWorks Animation has announced the return of “Shrek 5,” set to be released on July 1, 2026. The original cast, including Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Eddie Murphy, will reprise their roles. The movie will be directed by Walt Dohrn and co-directed by Brad Ableson. The film marks the return of the beloved franchise that started in 2001 and has grossed over $4 billion worldwide. Antonio Banderas’ return as Puss in Boots is still uncertain.
