Google and Selena Gomez Partner to Fund Teen Mental Health in the Classroom

Google has launched a $10 million Teen Mental Health Initiative to provide mental health resources to one million high school students and 10,000 teachers. The initiative will support leading youth mental health and education nonprofits, including Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund. Google.org America director Justin Steele highlighted the increase in searches for ‘teen mental health’ and emphasized the importance of supporting teens in developing positive mental health habits. Selena Gomez expressed the need to provide resources to young people to build strong mental health habits and announced a partnership with Google to expand access to mental health services in classrooms. Google also funded mental health training courses for teachers through leading youth mental health nonprofits.
