The memoir, which has sold over 2.5 million copies, details Spears’ rise to fame and her struggles with her conservatorship. The film will be produced by Marc Platt, known for “Wicked” and “La La Land,” with Spears expressing excitement about the project on social media. Music biopics have been popular in Hollywood, with upcoming releases including films about Bob Dylan and Michael Jackson.
