The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a public health alert for frozen, raw ground beef that may contain hard plastic and metal. The product, produced on Dec. 10, is from Turner Farm and Stockyards Packing Company Ground Beef, lot code 241210, and has establishment number “EST. M2035.” While no injuries or illnesses have been reported, consumers are advised not to consume the product and to either throw it away or return it to the seller. The FSIS did not issue a recall as the product is no longer available for purchase.
