Courtesy Automotive Group and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL) will once again join forces to host hundreds of Acadiana-area kids at their annual “Training 4 Life” fun day to honor & support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana (BGCA). The event will take place Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 9am to 3pm at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette when Courtesy & UL will host approximately seven-hundred Acadiana-area Boys & Girls Club kid members— alongside about one-hundred volunteers— for one special day of activities, food, special guest appearances, and fun!

The extraordinary day event was created to raise awareness of culture and inclusion for kids in the community belonging to BGCA. Last year’s event brought in over 500 Acadiana-area children— a huge success by ALL accounts— but insiders say this year’s event will be even bigger and better than before.

Local legends like Brandon Mitchell, Brad Boyd, Kevin Faulk and others will be in attendance to ensure unforgettable mentorship opportunities and once-in-a-lifetime encounters.  With Ragin Cajun athletics & Ragin Jazz right in the center of it all, children can also meet members of the UL Baseball team, Cheerleaders and Track & Field teams! Each of the participating BGCA clubs will compete in a talent show and it is rumored that local TikTok celebrity John Weatherall may even stop by to teach the massive crowd his viral “Mr. Weatherall” TikTok dance!
