Carrie Underwood is set to return to “American Idol” as a judge, replacing Katy Perry. Underwood, who won the fourth season of the show in 2005, will join the judging panel alongside Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson. The announcement comes after Perry’s departure from the show.
