Dr. Mark Chavez, one of the doctors charged in connection with the drug overdose death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine. Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home with high levels of ketamine in his system. Chavez faces up to 10 years in prison and admitted to selling ketamine to another doctor who then sold it to Perry. The trials for the other defendants involved in the case are set for March, and Chavez is expected to be sentenced in April. Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing on “Friends,” had a long history of substance addiction and had been taking ketamine as part of supervised therapy.
