1/17/18 Updates
UPDATE: Lafayette General Urgent Care Centers, UHC Urgent Care Clinic and UHC Clinics are closed today.
Lafayette General Urgent Care Centers (River Ranch, Sugar Mill Pond & Carencro):
Contrary to prior announcement, out of caution, our urgent care centers will close for the day. All three centers will reopen tomorrow from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., resuming normal business operations.
UHC Urgent Care Clinic:
Closed today. The clinic will reopen tomorrow from 5 – 9 p.m. with normal business operations.
UHC Clinics (hospital based):
Closed today. Normal business hours are scheduled to resume tomorrow.
1/16/Updates
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to weather conditions. Classes that begin before 3 p.m. will be held as scheduled. Classes that usually start at 3 p.m. or later are canceled. Bus service will discontinue at 4 p.m. Students and employees on campus after 4 p.m. can contact the ULPD for assistance.
Look for an update at about 8 p.m. on the University’s status for tomorrow via email, official University websites, and social media.
From South Louisiana Community College All campus locations will close at 2 p.m. due to weather conditions.
Lafayette Transit System (LTS) will not provide Night Owl service tonight during the evening hours. At this time, there are no changes to the LTS Daytime Fixed Route Service or Paratransit Day/Night Services.
Weather permitting, normal Transit service will resume at 5:45 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
The Jan. 16 Duson town hall meeting has been canceled. Duson Mayor Johnny Thibodeaux is asking residents to conserve water tonight.
St. Mary Parish Water & Sewer Commission #4 is asking its customers to please conserve water and not let their pipes drip.
Due to the freeze, Baldwin officials are asking residents are asked to not drip their facets. Instead, drain pipes and shut the valve off.
