Festival International’s Louisiana International Music Exchange (LIME) celebrates 11 years of bringing South Louisiana music to the world. As the biggest year for LIME yet, this one-day event features outstanding Louisiana music showcases, professional music industry panels, and networking opportunities that no local musician should miss.
This networking event will be held Thursday, April 26th from 1:45 – 5:00 pm at Dat Dog in Downtown Lafayette, with a happy hour to follow from 5-6 pm featuring The Shrugs. Music industry professionals are also invited to attend and meet some of the best musicians in South Louisiana. Showcases will present diverse sounds of the south as LIME features the talent of Keith Frank, Yvette Landry and the Jukes, and Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rôdailleurs.
Local musicians are invited to this incredible networking experience as Festival International seeks to help Louisiana talent reach global audiences and extend knowledge about the music industry. Bands can register on our website and should bring CDs and business cards with them, as LIME 2018 will be introducing them to over fifty music buyers from all across the world!
Festival International’s Programming Director Lisa Stafford and LIME Chair Erin Bass have poured their hearts into this year’s event, and it will be apparent with this top-notch opportunity. “LIME has evolved so much and is meeting the potential we knew that it could in 2018,” says Stafford. “We are welcoming a prominent panel with international music industry professionals that I look up to and admire. I can’t express how excited I am, and I hope that our local musicians take advantage of this free chance to learn and network.”
