The 4th Annual Bark in the Dark will be held on Thursday May 17, 2018 from 6-9pm at River Oaks Event Center in Lafayette. Proceeds from this event will help Acadiana Animal Aid continue its mission since 1974 to save the lives of companion animals. Through wonderful support from our community, we continue to lead the way in helping homeless pets in Acadiana. In 2017 alone, we were able to rescue over 2,700 cats and dogs in Louisiana.

Bark in the Dark is one of several fundraisers we conduct throughout the year to support our animal rescue operation. There will be a elegant dinner and drinks prepared by Chef Gilbert Decourt. We will also have amazing entertainment, a wine pull, a silent auction, and live auction with some amazing trips.

Chef Gilbert Decourt is a graduate of the Culinary Institute in Nice, France. He and his family made Lafayette their home over 30 years ago and he has been pleasing Cajun palates ever since. Using his talents in various area restaurants, research test kitchens and even ULL’s Restaurant Administration Program, he has honed his culinary talents a received over 20 prestigious awards. His boundless talents and creativity make him a pride of Artisan Creative Catering. As head chef, Gilbert Decourt is dedicated to each and every detail while creating innovative presentations and spectacular events for the Cajundome Convention Center.
