Safe Sitter is a medically-accurate course to help young teens aged 11 and up feel more confident in their ability to care for younger children. Topics covered include infant and child CPR, caring for a choking infant or child, injury prevention and management, behavior management, safety for the sitter, child care essentials and more. This class can even help young teens feel more comfortable staying home alone.
All information is medically accurate and is taught by trained Safe Sitter instructors. During the course, students get hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques so they are prepared to act in a crisis. Also, each student receives a manual filled with great information and resources for the course and on the job, a Safe Sitter backpack, important numbers Post-Is pads, a Band-Aid dispenser and flashlight.
