Courire de Mardi Gras, since 1961 “The Best Traditional Mardi Gras” Starting Saturday with the children’s run, beginning at the Saddle Tramp Club House with sign up at 8am., run starts at 8:30am.  Downtown for a parade at 12:30.  Awards at club house, 1pm.  Sunday the Courire begins at 8a.m. and ends downtown for a parade at 1:30pm.  All events start and end at Saddle Tramp club House on East Ebey Street.  Colorful costumed horseback riders, wagons, buggies, live music on the courier.  Chase the chickens, catch the greased pig, spectacular events!  Traditional gumbo, boudin and beverages available, 10am to 6pm.
