Blue Bell has announced the recall of a select lot of Butter Crunch ice cream due to the possibility that the half-gallons could contain a foreign object.

A consumer noticed a piece of a plastic tool in a half-gallon of Butter Crunch ice cream and notified the company. After an investigation, Blue Bell determined that the broken tool was inadvertently incorporated into a small amount of product. Out of caution, the company has recalled the select lot of ice cream produced on a specific line on August 26, 2019, in its Sylacauga, Alabama plant. There have been no reports of injuries to date.
