2019-2020 LOUISIANA SHERIFFS’ ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz is once again announcing the availability of a Five Hundred Dollar ($500.00) scholarship to be awarded to one outstanding high school graduating senior in St. Landry Parish. The program is a meaningful expression by both the Sheriffs’ Association and by Sheriff Guidroz of the confidence and pride that they have in our youth. The only limitations are that applicants must be permanent residents of Louisiana, that the scholarships must be utilized in higher education within the State of Louisiana, and that the students must enroll as full time undergraduates. The selection process is conducted by an independent third party and is based primarily upon the applicants GPA and ACT scores.
Application packets may be obtained at all St. Landry Parish High Schools through the office of the principal or guidance counselor. Completed applications must be returned to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office no later than April 1, 2020. More information is provided within the application packets or may be obtained by calling the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-948-6516.
