Houston’s mayor, Sylvester Turner announced on Wednesday that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will be canceled due to concerns over the coronavirus.
The cancellation comes after a coronavirus case appeared in Montgomery, Texas. The 3-week event and concert series draws in more than 2-million viewers each year. The mayor plans to sign an emergency health declaration.
