Join us online Saturday 1/30/2021 to Battle for the Paddle and support the Gumbo Foundation’s mission of helping families in our community!
The constraints of recent times have made things challenging, but the dedication of the Gumbo Foundation to our mission of supporting children and families in our community is unwavering. This year will look a bit different than events of the past and we look to our family of supporters to help continue the going on fifteen-year mission and continue to promote the care, compassion, and hope that WE, TOGETHER, have continued through the years. Although this year we do not have a direct recipient, rest assured that your continued support will help The Gumbo Foundation carry forward with its mission to help local children and families, while continuing to bring our community together for exciting, fun family events.
Registration is limited to 35 teams. A minimum $10 dollar donation is suggested with registration to continue to support ongoing Gumbo Foundation efforts. Additional donations are welcome via the donation button on the registration page. Registered teams will share three photos at designated times, depicting the pot and ingredients, the cooking process, and ultimately the final presentation of the gumbo – see rules for details. Teams photos will be posted online for “People’s Choice” voting and the team with the most votes will be awarded the coveted The Gumbo Cook-Off Battle for the Paddle.
There will be several live sessions during throughout the day, including event organizers and staff, participating teams, and musical guest performances. And everyone will be able to share comments, photos, and the like.
Join us Saturday, January 30th, 2021to show that, as always, WE will come TOGETHER to persevere and keep the Gumbo Foundation mission, hope and compassion alive!
