Willie Nelson and his Luck Reunion team want the president to make April 20th a legitimate national week of celebrating cannabis.
A petition has more than 2,000 signatures asking the president to recognize April 20 as the kick-off to a national holiday that ends on April 29th to commemorate Willie’s birthday.
While the petition is a bit of a gag, the goal of the petition is to start a conversation about ending the negative perception surrounding cannabis and weed culture.
The #HighHolidays begin on 4/20 and end on Willie Nelson's birthday – 4/29. Help Luck and one of the patron saints of cannabis, Willie, make the High Holidays a officially recognized holiday period by signing the petition at https://t.co/BPqgXsTpZB #PassItOn pic.twitter.com/BdnIKMSAxb
