Acadian Culture Day August 14, 2022 at Vermilionville in Lafayette
Every year, Vermilionville celebrates the cultures of Acadiana that have contributed so much to our unique folklife. Come to Vermilionville Sunday, August 14, 2022 10 AM – 5 PM for our 20th Annual Acadian Culture Day event! It is a FREE family-friendly festival to recognize and honor our region’s Acadian heritage. So much of our lifestyle, food, traditions, and music comes to our region from the Acadian culture, and we’re proud to demonstrate and celebrate its many contributions to our contemporary folklife. With support from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, Lafayette Consolidated Government, the Bayou Vermilion District, and the Vermilionville Living History Museum Foundation, this year’s celebration of the Acadian culture and history is an event not to be missed. We’ll have food, live music, history, crafts, dance, art, storytelling and
many other fascinating Acadian exhibits and demonstrations in our festival area and spread through our historic village. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Admission is free. For more information call 337-233-4077 or visit the Vermilionville Facebook page
