Keith Guidry and Criddle talk summer reading.
The Summer Reading Challenge by the Lafayette Public Library is back! This year, it will be a little different. Join the LPL for the 100 Days of Reading Summer Challenge.
The Lafayette Public Library challenges you to read at least 20 minutes every day from
June 1st to September 8th (World Literacy Day), and the best part is, it doesn’t matter
what you read — books, audiobooks, magazines, graphic novels, and more all count.
Anyone who reads at least 30 days during this time will be eligible for a prize pack and
entered for a chance to win the grand prize. But you don’t have to stop there — the
more days you read, the more you can win! Earn bonus prizes at the 50, 75, and 100 day
mark, as well as extra entries for the grand prize drawing.
100 Days of Reading Summer Challenge Kickoff Celebration will be on Saturday, June 3 from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM at the South Regional Library. You’ll
have the opportunity to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge and to enjoy a day
of family fun. There will be a fun jump, petting zoo, balloon artist, face painting, and
live performances by Mitch the Magician (11:00 AM & 2:00 PM).
