Lafitte Drive-In Park (105 South John Hardy) fully stocked 23 acre pond will finally be open for public fishing with an event presented by Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries , and sponsored by the City of Abbeville, Saturday, May 8th, 2021. The free (ABBEVILLE FAMILY FISH FEST) will be held from 7am-noon and Wildlife and Fisheries will be teaching kids how to fish. There will be food, drinks, and prizes. Plans are also being made to clean and fry the fish caught. Bring the kids, fishing equipment and sun screen.  All Park fishing rules will apply. Fishing licenses required for anyone over 16.  BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY!
