Come take part in the re-enactment of the arrival of the Acadians at the Acadian Memorial Heritage Festival on March 16, 2019 from 10am – 3pm near the Evangeline Oak in St. Martinville!
Grab a family banner and join in the procession as we welcome the Acadians to the Attakapas District at 12:30pm.
Join us at 9:45am for the raising of the Acadian flag and singing of the Acadian national anthem, Ave Maris Stella.
You can hang out all day long with the chefs of many traditional Cajun treats and learn their secrets at the same time. Stick around and enjoy some great Cajun food for lunch!
Come learn about some important events in Acadian history as portrayed by members of Théâtre Cadien in costume and in French! Join us for the Table française at 10am with John Broussard!
Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site brings traditional toys & games, along with a demonstration on historic chair caning.
Amis du Teche provide some good Cajun music with plenty of space for dancing and tapping your toes.
The festival and the museums are free of charge. The Festival takes place in and around the Acadian Memorial at 121 So. New Market St. in St. Martinville near Bayou Tèche.
