The Atchafalaya Basin Festival is a fundraiser for Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, La and Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel in Butte La Rose, La. The festival began in 2007 and has always been a FREE event . These events have been packed with fun activities for the whole family including  Car and Truck  Show, Cooking Contest, Queen’s Pageant, Arts and Crafts, Street Fair and Carnivals, Fun Jumps, Rockwall Climbing, Face Painting and of course Awesome Cajun Musical Entertainers and much more.  The festival offers Posters, T-Shirts, Raffle Tickets, Live and Silent Auctions, and Great Food and Drinks on the day of the festival.  The annual festival is always held the second Saturday in November.
