Better Business Bureau Serving Acadiana is proud to announce their inaugural scholarship application process is now open. Applications will be accepted until September 1, 2021. Students who reside in or attend school in any of the following parishes are eligible to apply: Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Martin, St. Landry and Vermilion.
Currently enrolled students can apply for a scholarship in one of three categories: Community College, Trade School, or University. (1) $500 scholarship will be awarded for each school level. Visit www.bbb.org to apply.
BBB President and CEO, Jillian Dickerson says, “There are several routes for students to take on their journey to a career. We wanted to highlight trade schools and community colleges as well as universities for the important skills and training they provide. A skilled workforce has immeasurable impact on the success of our business community and BBB Serving Acadiana hopes to make that journey a little easier for three students this year.”
The establishment of the Better Business Bureau Serving Acadiana’s Scholarship Fund was made possible by the Better Business Bureau BBQ Cook-Off fundraiser held this past spring. The deserving local students who win will be recognized at the BBB Annual Awards and silent auction on October 28, 2021.
