Carencro will honor all veterans during its Veterans Celebration, 10 a.m., Nov. 5. This annual event returns to a live, in-person format for the first time in two years.

“We’re happy to be able to gather together again to express our appreciation for veterans,” said Lynn Guidry, chairman of the Carencro Veterans Memorial committee. “This event is truly a heartfelt thank you to our veterans, and we look forward to being able to share our gratitude as a community.”

The public is invited to the downtown Carencro Veterans Memorial, adjacent to City Hall, 210 E. St. Peter Street, to participate. Activities include recognition of veterans in attendance, a presentation on the theme Abiding Vigilance, student patriotic art exhibit, student patriotic essay contest winners, music and more. Cake will be served.
