Celebration of Women & Culture

The African American Museum, the Acadian Memorial and Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site invite you to be a part of A Celebration of Women and Culture on Sat., March 17, 2018 from 10am to 4pm.

St. Martinville’s contribution to Women’s History Month will kick off at 10am with a panel of women across local cultures at the Longfellow-Evangeline Visitors Center. From Native American and African to Creole, Cajun and Acadian, we have invited several women to speak as women about their cultures.

March is Women’s History Month. The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum have joined in commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.
