The Etouffee Festival is a local celebration of the culture and food of south Louisiana. The festival began as a fundraiser for the Little Flower School in 1985, and was initially established by the Knights of Columbus. Since that time, the school has closed, but the church parish continues the tradition of the festival to help offset the costs of insuring the school buildings. The buildings are still used by the parish for CCD, RCIA, Adoration Chapel, St Therese Thrift Center, and other Church related functions.
The festival features many great events, including carnival rides, live musical entertainment, food, and bingo. Other activities include: Mayor’s cookoff, Etouffee 5K, Auto Show, & Pageant.
