Envision da Berry’s French Summer Brunch Fundraiser is scheduled for June 8, from 9 – 11 a.m. at Iberia Community Garden (1505 S. Hopkins St.).

Organized by two French interns working for Envision Da Berry this summer and features the cooking of French Chef Agnes Cappello, who was originally based in Marseilles, in the south of France.

The event is family-friendly and highlights “joie de vivre.” It is open to everyone who wants to enjoy good food, surrounded by French music and atmosphere. Most of the ingredients will be locally sourced from the community garden. Also, as the brunch will take place in the garden and guests will have the opportunity to visit the garden and possibly come back to work as volunteers.

The goal of this event is to raise funds to support EdB programs like Da Berry Fresh Market a farmers retail storefront that is adding a positive presence to the city of New Iberia.
