Opelousas Main Street presents the spring version of Front Porch Jam. This outdoor event will combine music entertainment, art activity for the little ones and a great space in the downtown district for a place making event. Come gather for a breezy, old fashioned front porch jam session featuring Soul Express Brass Band and some throwback tunes.

Kids will have extra fun making and decorating their own kite for the event. No materials needed. Supplies will be available.

ABOUT SOUL EXPRESS BRASS BAND
The Soul Express Brass Band serves up a funky mix of brass band 2nd-line style jazz. The members of this 8-piece brass band hail from Opelousas, New Orleans and everywhere in-between. Band members include: Brandon “Pint” Richardson on Trumpet; Freddie Ford, Trumpet; Alonzo “Striped Cat” King; Trumpet/Trombone; David “Big Op” Smith, Trombone; Edward “Nemo” Rideaux, Trombone; Reginald “Rev” Jackson, Snare Drum; Nathanial “Dum-D” Sonnier and Bass Drum.
