Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS) invites you to Play with a Purpose at the 19th Annual Games of Acadiana, Saturday, August 17th from 10am-4pm at the Cajundome & Convention Center.
This unique family day of fun holds over 50 games and activities and is free for the whole family to enjoy. The morning is kicked off with Opening Ceremonies featuring an inspiring “Survivor Walk,” to honor those surviving and living with cancer. Game Day begins shortly after and participants can enjoy a variety of games and activities for all age groups.
The first Games of Acadiana was held in 2001 at the Cajundome and was the vision of family and friends of 8-year old Miles Perret, who lost his battle with cancer in 1996. The success of the first Games enabled Miles Perret Cancer Services to open its doors less than one year later.
Games of Acadiana is still the signature fundraiser of Miles Perret Cancer Services today. Businesses and individuals from across Acadiana come together for this special event to support MPCS and its mission to help local families fight, survive, and live with cancer. Since 2002, Miles Perret Cancer Services has served over 16,000 families in Acadiana.
