The Family Tree Healthy Start Program in Lafayette has created a free annual event for Acadiana residents to raise awareness for infant and maternal mortality. The event will help to increase knowledge and provide essential health education needed to identify the risk factors that most greatly influence infant and maternal death. The Family Tree Healthy Start Program believes that it is the responsibility of all citizens of the state to reduce these high mortality rates in their communities. There are things that you can do to help mothers and infants who are at risk. Supporting local organizations and events such as these is a great way to get involved.
the 2022 Healthy Start Community Baby Shower:
- Date and time: Friday, May 13th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

- Indoor/Outdoor event weather permitting
- The first 50 individuals to sign in will receive a free baby sling.
- Free plate lunches will be provided for attendees while supplies last.
- Door prize drawings will take place at the close of the event.
