You Can Be a Part of the Iberia Parish Library Summer 2022!

We are currently hiring for the 2022 summer workshop staff!
MUST APPLY IN PERSON.
Seasonal Part-Time
$8.00/hour
May – July

The Summer Workshop program consists of a wide variety of activities and classes for ages 5 – 17. These include, but are not limited to various physical activities, arts and crafts, cooking, games, etc… The summer workshop staff are hired to assist with these workshops and summer activities.

What does our summer workshop staff do?
– Work cooperatively with fellow summer workshop staff
– Assist in the facilitation of programs and events in relation
to the summer workshop program
– Clean and organize
– Interact with children, teens, and parents/guardians
– General administrative duties (paperwork, phone calls,
copies, faxing, etc.)
– Some physical labor ( lifting, moving furniture, etc.)
– Run errands for workshops, which at times may include
trips to Lafayette for supplies
– Work outdoors for some of the workshops
– Set up and break down programs and events (can
include but not limited to decorating, crafting, and
cleaning)
– Travel between workshop locations
– Adapt to whatever that day brings

Fill out an application at any branch of Iberia Parish Library. All applicants must be at least 17 years of age or older and must be able to drive, with daily access to a reliable vehicle. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered. It is preferable that applicants also have experience working with children and/or teenagers.
