Lafayette Genealogical Society monthly meeting will be Thursday, April 17, 2025 beginning at 6:00p.m., Lafayette Public Library, Southside Branch, 6101 Johnston St., Lafayette, LA, in the small meeting room.  The guest speaker is Kathy Oliver, who was born and still lives in Acadia Parish.  She is a member and the current Registrar for the Acadia Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.  She will focus on the history of DAR, its service to America through its membership and how to become a member.  For more information, go to LALGS.org or find us on Facebook.
