Love Our Schools

Co-founded by Love Acadiana and the William C. Schumacher Family Foundation, “Love Our Schools” is an educational initiative aimed at transforming public schools and elevating our community, in cooperation with Lafayette Parish School System.  This summer, community volunteers will gather at eight public schools in Lafayette Parish to make significant physical improvements and enhancements, provide backpacks filled with supplies to nearly 5,000 students and resources to over 600 teachers and staff.

One of the greatest causes a community can support is the betterment of children’s education and the environment in which it is provided. Inspiration and encouragement for students, teachers and staff at every school are necessities for ensuring a bright future for our youth.

Love Our Schools provides an opportunity for individuals and private businesses alike to be a part of a pivotal change in our community, providing the funds and manpower necessary to empower our students, teachers and staff and to show them that people care.
