On March 30, 2019, the third annual Mayor Al Memorial 5K & 1 Mile Croc Walk will be held at the Loreauville Park.

A 1 mile walk will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K set to begin at 9 a.m. Awards will follow immediately after the race. The band 2 In The Chamber will be performing along with musician Minos Derouen. There will be soft drinks and jambalaya all free of cost. The kids will be entertained by fun jumps, photo booth, a magician, snacks and face painting. A silent auction will also be going on all day until the end of the event at 2 p.m.
