December 14th, the annual Old Time Winter Family Day Celebration will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.m. with lots more to offer. The village will be filled with great learning opportunities, live music, delicious food, Native American storytelling, arts & crafts and self-guided tours. In fact, Papa Noël (the French Santa Claus) will be here and kids will be able to write letters to him sealed with wax. Our artisans will demonstrate several holiday happenings from 1765-1890 such as how to make candles, soap, Victorian paper ornaments, citrus pomanders and more. Also, we will have a reading of The Night Before Christmas each half hour. Admission is $5 for those 4 and older.
