T.R.A.I.L. & the City of Broussard are proud to announce the first annual Responders’ Race on Saturday, September 11, 2021. This community event is an opportunity for everyone to show support for their fire fighters, military, law enforcement, and medics who run to our sides when we need them most. Held at the beautiful Broussard Sports Complex at St. Julien Park, participants can run 10K, 5K, or 1-mile Family Fun Run with finishers’ medals & awards. We’ve included a FULL BATTLE RATTLE Division for those wanting to run the 5K with boots and the 30# weight equivalent of the equipment carried by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Team. First Responders run for free. This day of appreciation is open to the public. Includes family activities, and live music by Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns. Food and drinks provided after the race. This fundraising event will not only help First Responders of Louisiana and their families, but also help support T.R.A.I.L. projects. T.R.A.I.L. is nonprofit dedicated to building, maintaining, & updating parks, paths, & trails for cycling, running, hiking, & paddling.
